Resize like you know what you are doing

Tip 1:
EXIF orientation: photos from phones often have a rotation tag instead of physically rotated pixels. AnyResizer reads the tag, rotates the pixels, and strips the tag — so the resized copy looks the same everywhere, including older Android galleries and email clients.
Tip 2:
Aspect ratio: locking it scales both axes proportionally. Unlocking it lets you stretch — useful for backgrounds and patterns, terrible for faces. Toggle deliberately.
Tip 3:
Lossy vs lossless: JPG, WebP, and AVIF discard detail to shrink. PNG keeps everything but stays large. For photos, lossy at 80% quality is usually invisible to the eye and saves 70% on size.
Tip 4:
Resampling: Lanczos is the slow, beautiful default — sharp edges, no halos. Bicubic is faster and softer. Nearest is for pixel art and screenshots where you want jagged edges preserved.
Tip 5:
Format coach: if your image has transparency, WebP or PNG. If it's a photo and you want the smallest file, AVIF. If you need universal compatibility (older clients, email previews), stick to JPG.
